The injury saga continues for Jets wide receiver Eric Decker and cornerback Dee Milliner.

Decker aggravated his hamstring injury in the second quarter of the Monday night loss to the Bears. He left the game and did not return. While he only rode the exercise bicycle during practice Wednesday, head coach Rex Ryan wasn’t ready to rule him out for Sunday’s game against Detroit.

“He’s a durable guy. I think he’s going to do whatever it takes to play,” Ryan said. “I’m confident in him; I’m hopeful that he will play. But again we’ll see. During the week this past week, it wasn’t until the end that he felt good enough to play — and he only got 15, 16 snaps.”

Despite missing a good chunk of the second half against the Packers in Week 2, and then having very few reps on Monday night, Decker still leads the team with 156 receiving yards through three games.

As for cornerback Dee Milliner, he said Wednesday his high ankle sprain is better, but he’s currently battling a quadriceps injury that could keep him shelved this weekend. Milliner has made one appearance this year — in Week 2 — before his ankle and a quad hamstring shelved him for Monday night.

Milliner was officially listed as out with a right quadriceps injury Wednesday. The pull happened in last Thursday’s practice while running.

“It’s can be frustrating,” Milliner said. “I come back from my ankle sprain, come back from that to my quad – it can be frustrating because I want to be on the field.”

Wide receiver David Nelson missed Wednesday’s practice with an illness.
