Fare jumper arrested for drugs

Transit Police working a plainclothes detail at Malden Center Station arrested a Medford man on Monday night for a slew of charges after the officers saw him jump a fare gate.

Kynly Cazeau, 25, of Vista Avenue in Medford, was found to have two warrants out of Quincy for his arrest — one for distribution of a Class-B substance, and the other for breaking and entering, according MBTA Spokesman Joe Pesaturo.

Officers also allegedly found a glass pipe with cocaine residue on it.

Cazeau admitted to smoking crack cocaine earlier in the day, according to police.

He is set to be arraigned Tuesday in Roxbury District Court on the warrant charges; he was not charged with possession of the pipe, which was confiscated and destroyed, according Pesaturo.
