Fast food workers from McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, KFC and Domino’s are set to strike on Thursday morning in Manhattan.
The New York City workers are demanding $15 an hour minimum wage and the right to unionize, and will be joined by workers from St. Louis.
The first strike is planned for 7:15 a.m. on Thursday outside McDonald’s at 220 W. 42nd Street. The second strike is planned for 11:45 a.m. outside McDonald’s at 946 8th Avenue.
The fast food workers are expected to be joined by elected officials, community supporters and clergy.
