Finding harmony at River Edge in Whitby

When a natural setting and modern living combine, the results can be nothing short of harmony.

And you can find harmony at River Edge in Whitby, built by Glen Rouge Homes.

The four-bedroom Huntingwood model home, designed by Ada Cheng, shows off exactly the kind of elegance and comfort that can be achieved by fusing modern sensibilities with classic good looks to create a space that feels influenced by country life, not overwhelmed by it.

“Contemporary classic or contemporary country, that’s the style I like to go with. If you go full country, that might just be a little too rustic. I like to tone it down with a few contemporary touches,” Cheng said.

Inside, Cheng chose furniture from Ethan Allen inspired made mostly from redwood and built primarily for comfort.

Tall windows are a main feature of the model home, bringing in large amounts of light throughout the home and showing off the picturesque surroundings since more than half of the homes in the development are planted in the nearby conservation area.
