Finding positives of traveling delays

PHILADELPHIA. Who says traveling during the holidays can’t be fun?

The Philadelphia International Airport is the third best airport in the country to make a romantic connection, according to a 2009 survey from AXE, a men’s personal hygiene brand. Philly International topped the list in 2007.

The study credits the weather delays and dozens of bars and restaurants for helping to grease the wheels toward hook ups.

The airport has also been known for fouling up travelers’ luggage in years past, leading frustrated singles to make possible love connections while sorting things out.

“It seems like a very friendly environment,” Army Private Anthony Houser said last week.
Meanwhile, at 30th Street Station, Eric Victor was looking for some company for his 28-hour journey to New Orleans.

“I’m always expecting something to happen,” said Victor, who’s relocating down South. “Maybe I’ll meet someone on the train, though my girlfriend wouldn’t be too happy.”
