RCMP are investigating a suspicious house fire and a break and enter which both took place on a rural property west of Strathmore.
Emergency crews were called to the fire early Sunday morning and found that several items, including a utility trailer and two motorcycles, had been stolen from two detached garages on the property.
Sgt. Kevin Reilly of the Strathmore RCMP said they couldn’t confirm if the two incidents are related.
“It could have been an electrical fire for all we know,” he said, adding the home was destroyed.
“It’s difficult because the homeowners weren’t there.”
Sgt. Reilly said the investigation is ongoing.
