It was the meeting of old and new this week, as Neptune Theatre gave folks the chance to relive their prom days.
Chiffon and tuxedos were the order of the day at Black & White and Prom All Over, a fundraiser for student matinees and other programs.
The Mu Lan Chinese Cultural Centre ushered in the new year with a ten course authentic dinner at the Dragon King Restaurant. There were plenty of shrimp dumplings and Beijing duck to celebrate the Year of the Ox.
Finally, congratulations to developer Ben McCrea, who was named businessperson of the year at the Halifax Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner and awards show. O’Regans was named business of the year and Moxie Creative dubbed best new business. Standing ovations all around!
