CHELSEA. A Lynn man fleeing police killed himself and a 65-year-old Revere man Saturday morning.
Chelsea cops were pursuing Sergio Santiago, 27, after he had a confron-tation with a female driver just before 1:30 a.m., police said. They lost sight and discontinued the chase when Santiago entered Route 16.
Officers later came upon the crash scene and found Santiago and Viktor Yumatov, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The Suffolk district attorney’s office said a preliminary investigation showed that Santiago ran a red light at a “high rate of speed” before he hit Yumatov’s car.
