A onetime doctor at Boston Children’s Hospital and instructor at Harvard Medical School pleaded guilty on Monday to receiving child pornography.
Richard Keller pleaded guilty in federal court to receipt and possession of child pornography, according to court records. His sentencing is scheduled for February.
Keller, a 57-year-old former endocrinologist from Andover, was charged in September2012.
At the time, authorities saidhe had more than 500 photographs and between 60 and 100 DVDs at his home. The images depicted minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
In a statement at the time, Children’s Hospital said they immediately put Keller on leave and that no concerns from patients or family members were ever brought to the hospital’s attention.
