The big game between the Patriots and Rams has arrived. Millions will be watching Super Bowl LIII on their TV on CBS but the showdown for the Lombardi Trophy will also be streamed live on CBS All Access. You do have to sign-up for CBS All-Access and you typically can’t watch the streaming channel without a cable subscription. There are other options to live stream the game, however.
One of the big matchups people are looking forward to in Super Bowl LIII is the running back showdown between former Georgia football teammates Sony Michel and Todd Gurley.
Michel and Gurley have taken different paths this season to get to this point. Gurley started off the season looking like the NFL MVP as he was the engine that powered the Rams to an 8-0 start. Before Thanksgiving, Gurley had five 100-plus yard rushing games including a 208-yard performance against Denver in mid-October.
But injuries caught up to Gurley late in the season as he sat out the final two regular season games. He looked refreshed in the Rams’ 30-22 victory over Dallas in the divisional round as he racked up 115 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. The following week against New Orleans, however, was not nearly as productive for Gurley as he had just four rushes for 10 yards.
Michel on the other hand has been at his best late in the season. The rookie posted 129 yards rushing against the Chargers and 113 yards rushing against Kansas City. The former Georgia star was the Patriots’ workhorse as well in their Week 16 win over Buffalo as he recorded 116 yards on 18 carries.
It will be interesting to see who get the better of this matchup on Super Sunday.
