The Halifax Mooseheads kicked off a gruelling four-game road trip in Quebec with a win last night.
The Mooseheads received a goal and two assists from rookie winger Martin Frk as they downed the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 6-4 for their second win in three games.
Frk, 17, now has eight points in five games and is tied for fifth in QMJHL scoring.
Carl Gelinas had a goal and an assist while Gabriel Desjardins, Darcy Ashley, Alex Souligny and Gerrad Grant chipped in with the other singles.
Goaltender Mathieu Corbeil returned from a fractured bone in his hand and turned aside 21 shots.
Charles Bety wore the captain’s C for the third straight game and appears to be in line for the full-time duties.
Forwards Andrew Ryan and Matthew Boudreau and defencemen Jamie Bishop and Trey Lewis were healthy scratches.
The Mooseheads, 2-3 overall, are back in action Friday against the Chicoutimi Sagueneens.
