Calgary will be celebrating eastern culture with a bang this weekend as the 10th annual Chinatown Street Festival kicks off on Saturday.
With a full day of events planned, Debbie White of the City of Calgary says they hope to see plenty of Calgarians turn up.
“I think it’s a good opportunity for Calgarians to experience the history and the culture in Chinatown and just an opportunity to get to participate and see all the performers,” she said.
White said one of the highlights of the day will be the fireworks that will be set off from the Centre Street bridge at 10 p.m.
