Police have opted to release both suspects arrested in connection with an early morning shooting in Gastown on Sunday, following a series of interviews with witnesses and victims.
Officers had taken the two men into custody based on witness descriptions, but both were subsequently cleared from suspicion.
“Some of the witnesses had been consuming alcohol, which tends to affect your memory,” said Vancouver police Const. Lindsey Houghton, who added that the investigation continues to recover evidence from the scene.
All four victims injured in the shooting have been released from hospital.
