“We are over the moon excited about the caliber of talent visiting Boston for Together 2016,” says Maniatis. “The Dutch Culture Day on the Monday (May 16) is presented by Dutch Culture USA and will feature a cultural exchange at MMMMAVEN during the day and a party showcasing the massive Dutch festival/brand Dekmantel at night at the Middlesex Lounge. Do not to miss Dutch boy wonder Fatima Yamaha. Yamaha wrote the catchiest song I’ve ever heard called ‘What’s a Girl To Do.'”
The Black Madonna brings Smart Bar chic to the Middlesex Lounge
“Though the week has many surprises, classic house and techno lovers should take note that the Tuesday night show at the Middlesex will feature Chicago’s The Black Madonna [Marea Stamper], who is a big figure in the Midwest dance scene,” says Maniatis. “She booked the famous Smart Bar for many years, but more recently her productions and DJ sets have really taken off. We have seen her come to Boston and leave dance floors absolutely sweaty and wanting more. This one is for the music heads — a true classic dance floor experience.”
“Last, but not least, are our events at The Middle East, which is known throughout the world for its rich history in live music,” Maniatis concludes. “It will be transformed by the Together team into Together Central Stage with a/v installations and reinforced sound, truly creating a unique experience for Boston: Specifically on Saturday (May 21), when three of the world’s top DJs are all on the one bill. Headlining the show is one of my favorite people and favorite DJs, Matthew Dear. One of Boston’s favorites, San Francisco’s JPhlip; and special guest Axel Boman from Sweden, making his Boston debut, complete out the night.”
