OMG! U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand dismissed “HF” — Harold Ford — on Twitter for calling her a “parakeet” for Democratic leaders.
“I wouldn’t allow my 6 yr old to engage in this kind of namecalling,” she tweeted. “And HF thinks he should be Senator?”
The exchange seemed to highlight polls that show Gillibrand, sworn in a year ago today, faces a rough election season this year.
“If it’s an anti-incumbent time — as it appears at the moment … she’s going to have some trouble,” said Bruce Berg of Fordham University.
