Go on a ‘Doggie Double Date’ with this Boston brewery

Dating can be a dog-eat-dog world sometimes, but this “Doggie Double Date” hopes to take a bite out of all that.
GoPetie, an app that connects pet owners and their furry pals with new friends in their area, is throwing a weekday bash where locals and their adorable pets can mingle. Aeronaut Brewing Co. and Zone 3 are partnering with the company for the “Doggie Double Date,” which goes down Wednesday, Aug. 23, in Allston.
The event is the first of its kind for GoPetie and promises to be an exciting evening where attendees will “enjoy good music and food, socialize, and perhaps find a date for your furry friend (or for yourself).”
The fun is scheduled to kick off 5:30 p.m. and entrance is free for those who download the GoPetie app and set up a profile for their dog.
In addition to all the doggie mingling, craft beers will be on hand courtesy of Aeronaut, while hungry daters can chow down at the food trucks. Dog treats will also be available for the canines in attendance.
Pet lovers should arrive early if they want a spot, though, as capacity for the event is limited and hundreds are expected to attend.
