Tree festival
Also happening on Queen East is this Saturday’s Leslieville Tree Festival. Organized by LEAF, Councillor Paula Fletcher, and the City Of Toronto Parks, Forestry And Recreation, this fun and free family bonanza features tree planting, kids’ craft activities, a wallet-friendly native plant sale (perennials start at just $5), as well as impressive tree acrobats, music, food and a mini-market of local vendors selling handcrafted eco-chic wearables — plus info from local environmental groups on how to leave a softer footprint on the planet.
