Remember the gorgeous floral dresses you lived in from their organic Garden Collection last spring? Well H&M is taking its dalliance with sustainable fashion one step further with their new Conscious Collection, launching Thursday. “It’s no longer just about organic cotton,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M head of design. “The possibilities for creating a complete fashion statement with eco-smarter materials are huge now.” The new line — which includes pieces for women, men and kids — is made from sustainable materials including
Tencel (an organic cotton) and recycled polyester. But don’t expect dull, crunchy designs. Instead, you’ll find chic seperates in various shades of white, with most pieces in the line featuring embroidery and lace. It’s like you’re summering in Italy, even when stuck on the subway.
