Shonda Rhimes read Alessandra Stanley’s New York Times piece about her being “an angry black woman” and “a romance writer” in relation to the new show “How to Get Away with Murder,” and Rhimes is, well … angry. “Wait. I’m ‘angry’ AND a ROMANCE WRITER?!!” Rhimes posted to Twitter. “I’m going to need to put down the internet and go dance this one out. Because ish is getting real.”
She also helpfully pointed out a glaring error in Stanley’s story: Rhimes isn’t actually the creator of “How to Get Away with Murder,” Pete Nowalk is. He’s white and male, but possibly still angry.
