Infrastructure development GM sees promise

Domenic Villani, 36, is a general manager of Clearway Construction Incorporated, a medium-sized infrastructure development company based in Vaughan that builds sewers, roads, bridges and water mains.

budget hopes: He wants more money for infrastructure — roads, sewers, bridges and water mains that can be built this year and next. He says the government must provide assurances that the money gets into the hands of governments that can spend it quickly.

budget reality: Villani is pleased the government is pumping $12 billion into infrastructure programs over the next two years and is happy $1 billion of that has been earmarked for green jobs.
