Science fiction techno rock from England that’s sure to provoke riots on the dance floor. Music doesn’t get more direct, or the message any clearer, than this. Liam Howlett pushes mosh pit music to the max. And, amazingly, none of the songs seem to be designed to hurt anyone or anything, except, maybe … fictional space invaders, bad horror movie scripts, sophomoric notions of revolution, eight-track Iron Butterfly tapes, fish with sharp teeth and ear drums. The keyboard run on Colours sparks fond memories of the Stranglers’ Rats Rally. There’s even a tip of the hat to Manfred Mann on Stand Up. Fire up the strobes, blow out your sub-woofers and have a good time.
