Rubik’s Cubes will be flying when some of the fastest cubers in the Pacific Northwest converge at the Telus World of Science on Saturday for the Vancouver Open 2010 Speedcubing Competition.
CanadianCUBING has more than 50 registered competitors in the contest, where connoisseurs of the iconic ’80s toy try to solve the puzzle faster than others.
“Speedcubing is a fun activity to get into,” said organizer Vince Yim.
“There’s a certain sense of achievement that comes with doing so, considering the initial challenge that comes with solving it for the first time.”
