Jessica Simpson’s dad spoils her Idol aspirations

It looks like Jessica Simpson lost out on taking one of the empty seats on the American Idol judge’s panel, and she reportedly has her dad and manager, Joe Simpson, to thank.

When producers approached Joe about having his famous daughter join the team, he reportedly made so many ridiculous demands on her behalf that they decided to move on to Jennifer Lopez, according to Crushable.

A rep for the Simpsons had no comment.
