Look out Hollywood, here comes some Nova Scotia talent.
Local musicians Joel Plaskett, Rose Cousins and Christina Martin are heading to Los Angeles to showcase what Nova Scotia has to offer the music biz.
The trio was selected to represent the provincial music scene by a panel of L.A. music industry pros, and they will perform in front of agents, managers, label representatives and film supervisors.
The private performances take place tomorrow and Thursday at Hotel Cafe.
In the 1990’s Nova Scotia was considered the new Seattle by some media circles. With artists like Sloan, Jale and Plaskett’s Thrush Hermit, the province was a big blip on the music radar.
