Oy. I feel for the editors of Marie Claire. Sure, they got Kim Kardashian for their December cover and on the record a few weeks after her multi-million dollar wedding, but it doesn’t look like they were able to change the print article around to reflect the news of her divorce in time before it hit the newsstands. The web article does interject editorial into her quotes about the divorce but they weren’t able to get fresh quotes from the reality star. They did change around the cover tease to the very vague “Kim Kardashian Reveals What Went On in Her Crazy Marriage,” but her giant engagement ring is very much on display.
A press release by the magazine makes no mention of content, only sharing that Kardashian said this obviously untrue statement to the reporter about her soon-to-be ex Kris Humphries:
“I’m not worried about him at all. We have a lot of trust, and I don’t think either of us would do anything to break that. It makes life so easy. He’s such a good guy; he is so down-to-earth, and it’s such a reality check. He is a normal guy, and I just want to chill out and be normal and not get glammed up all the time. He gets it. Sometimes my life can be really intimidating for people, but he allows me to work and do what I’ve gotta do.”
And as we all know, “what she had to do” was divorce him.
