Far from being confined to thefringes of pop culture,superheroes have to thoroughly saturate every kind of media. Here in New York City, they’ve been our neighbors and guardians since the 1930s, and this exhibit looks at their evolution, from comics to radio to blockbuster movies, how fans have played a part in expanding the definition and representation of heroes and more. The exhibit includes comics, sketches, posters, videos, costumes and, of course, swag.

How Cats Took Over the Internet

The Internet has been a boon for many things, but cats have arguably gotten the biggest reputation boost of all. GIFs, videos, photos, illustrations, they are everywhere and we are hopeless to resist their box-loving charms. This exhibit takes a deep dive into our collective fascination, from therise of catcelebrities to lolcats, the best videos that captured even the most jaded cat haters’ hearts and why it is, exactly, that we can’t resist them.

The exhibit features pieces from her own closet as well as her creations, as well as photographs and video.
