In the past couple of years I’ve been getting on buses with loud, annoying music playing at the back. The bus drivers do nothing to stop this. Why do I have to complain to the bus driver before they do anything about it?

What is the point of having a bylaw (TTC bylaw No.1 Sec. 3.23) that no TTC employee enforces? I’m positive the driver can hear the music. I’ve had conversations with people at the front of the bus, beside the driver, who have had the same complaint.

I know the drivers are looking out for their own safety and to avoid confrontation, but the TTC needs to find a way to enforce bylaws, protect its employees and keep customers happy. I hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears; we have enough drivers who play deaf.
