Apple Watch Series 4: Official release date, how to pre-order

Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 4 on Wednesday during a special product announcement event which included the highly anticipated iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and the entry-level iPhone XR.

The Apple Watch Series 4 has a major redesign while maintaining its smooth aesthetic many Apple Watch fans fell in love with. The Apple Watch Series 4 will also feature major internal upgrades and more health and fitness tools to keep you on the right track and has all the important features you would want in a smartwatch.

The first thing you might notice about the Apple Watch Series 4 is its size. The new Apple Watch is available in two new sizes, 40mm and 44mm. The next thing you might notice about the Apple Watch 4 is the larger display. The Apple Watch Series 4 has a 30 percent larger screen than the previous model, allowing you to see more app information at once.

Aside from the new dual-core 64-bit S4 processor and an upgrade to the smartwatch’s gyroscope and accelerometer, the Apple Watch 4 has a built-in EKG scanner allowing users to take an electrocardiogram and detect irregular heart rhythm. Apple also announced it has received clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to have the new Apple Watch Series 4 considered as a medical device.

The new Apple watch has an improved digital that now includes haptic feedback and a better speaker thanks to the watch’s redesign.

The GPS + Cellular version of the Apple Watch 4 allows you to use cellular service with the Apple smartwatch and is available for Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
