Man, 20, charged in Brooklyn shooting of four teens

A 20-year-old man has been charged in the Brooklyn shooting that left one teen dead and three others wounded on Saturday, police said.

Brandon Reese allegedly fired the shots outside the Marcy Houses in Bed-Stuy at approximately 6:30 p.m., police said.

Mario Lopez, 18, was shot multiple times in the torso and killed. Three other boys, aged 13, 14, and 15 were injured in the shooting.

Lopez was reportedly at the Marcy Houses for a youth basketball tournament that was taking place nearby.

Reese has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapons and criminal use of a firearm.

Police said on Sunday that they believed the shooting was gang-related.
