Police in Barbados have arrested a 24-year-old Barbadian man in connection with the death of Ottawa resident Terry Swartzfeld.?
Royal Barbados Police Force Commissioner Darwin Dottin said yesterday police expect to charge a suspect shortly in connection?with the brutal attack that killed Swartzfeld, 60, and injured her? daughter-in-law Luana Cotsman.?
At the time of his arrest, the suspect was in possession of a digital camera and ring belonging to Swartzfeld and Cotsman, as well as an imitation firearm.?
Police say Swartzfeld and Cotsman were walking on a beach when they were beaten and robbed. Swartzfeld died in an Ottawa hospital on March 18.?A $10,000 US reward was offered for information leading to an arrest.
