Ottawa police have charged a city man after a stabbing incident earlier this week.
At 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Ottawa police responded to a stabbing in the area of Heron Road and Junction Avenue, where they located a male victim suffering from a number of stab wounds.
The victim told police that he had been robbed and stabbed by two males known to him. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, treated and released.
As a result of a traffic stop several hours later, officers apprehended a male.
Mohamud Hussein Jama, 20, faces one count of robbery, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of uttering threats.
