Police are searching for a man who struck a woman in the face with a ketchup bottle at a West Village diner in an alleged bias assault, cops said.
The man approached the 33-year-old victim inside Waverly Diner on Sixth Avenue at approximately 4:40 a.m. on April 1. He made some anti-gay statements and then hit the woman with a ketchup bottle, causing a laceration to her forehead, police said.
The suspect is being described as a black male, approximately 6-foot-1, weighing about 200 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a grey baseball-style shirt with dark sleeves, blue jeans and dark-colored sneakers.
