The Patriots added a Pro Bowler to their roster this week, but it wasn’t Randy Moss.
Stud offensive lineman Logan Mankins, who finally ended his holdout Tuesday, began practicing with the team yesterday.
Arriving with a Fu Manchu that “humbled” teammate Matt Light, Mankins said he’s anxious to humble opponents’ D-lines, too.
The two-time all-star could have arrived three weeks from now and still have been considered an unrestricted free agent next year, but chose to join the team now.
“But I’m not looking at it as if I’m early,” Mankins said. “Actually I’m eight weeks late. So I’m not early.”
Dan Connolly started at left guard in Mankins’ lengthy absence.
