Matt Damon is kind of ruining the mystique of man buns for me.
The star of “The Great Wall” is making the rounds, and talking about his character’s coif. Apparently, it took nearly a day to create. A day!
“I mean they put 700 extensions in, it took 12 hours, and then I had to try and keep them in,” he told Us Weekly. “By the time they cut them out, it was like a rat’s nest. I took a picture of it. I think there was stuff living in there.”
There are obviously some parallels here: The Great Wall of China originally took 200 years to build; Matt Damon’s mediocre weave took 12 hours to come to life. Perfection, or at least the pursuit of perfection, must not be rushed.
And so, a round of applause for Damon. Thank you for being bold enough to give us a man bun thatlooks just okay, all in effort of making a blockbuster film.
