The newly redone Meadowlands Racetrack is turning back the clock this Saturday night as they host “Roosevelt Raceway Legacy Night”.

The festivities include a driver autograph session with some of the legendary drivers who competed at the now-demolished harness track including Herve Filion, Jim Marohn Sr, Mike Lachance, Carmine Abbatiello, and many more.

The current colony of drivers at “The Big M” will drive in the colors of the Roosevelt legends in tribute.

Legendary horse racing announcers Dave Johnson and Spencer Ross will appear as well.

The Meadowlands will offer a special commemorative racing program, and will also display some famous memorabilia from Roosevelt Raceway, which is on loan from the Harness Racing Museum, in the grand foyer.

There will also be rolled-back concession prices: canned soda, beer, hot dogs and pretzels will be offered for just $1 each.

Festivities are expected to get underway at about 6:30pm, after the Preakness Stakes is completed.

There is also a fantastic 14-race card on tap, which includes the $175,000 Arthur J. Cutler Memorial final for free-for-all trotters. Last week’s eliminations for the big race saw Swedish sensation Sebastian K win and set the world record for trotters on a one-mile track (1:50.1). Also lining up on gate with him is 2013 Hambletonian winner Market Share, who won his elimination last Saturday with a sparkling time of 1:50.3. The feature race is scheduled as race 7; first post is 7:15.
