Metro Minute at Rideau Hall

Get a rare look at some national treasures, including the New Born Pride sculpture by Saskatchewan artist Lloyd Pinay and a chest of drawers that belonged to former prime minister Mackenzie King at Rideau Hall, the official residence of the Governor General.

The National Capital Commission Official Residences Crown Collection, an exhibition of furniture and art from official residences in Ottawa and Quebec’s Citadelle, explains the origins, role and significance of the pieces. It opens Friday and remains open to the public until March. You can visit this exhibition as part of the guided tour of Rideau Hall. Call 1-866-842-4422 for reservations.
