The all-female, all-Irish ensemble Celtic Woman is taking over the Metro Centre tonight.
Chloë Agnew, Lisa Kelly, Lynn Hilary and Alex Sharpe along with Celtic Violinist Mairead Nesbitt use Irish song elements and apply them to their contemporary music.
Their most recent album and fifth release, Songs from the Heart, debuted in the ninth spot on Billboard’s Top 200. They’ve sold five million albums.
Celtic Woman do several covers, such as Mariah Carey’s When You Believe and Billy Joel’s Goodnight My Angel. They also perform the Irish classics Galway Bay and My Lagan Love.
