Got a few minutes to spare today? Head over to the Textile Art for Africa fundraiser to support the Grandmother to Grandmother Campaign.
For more than a year, the ladies of Glacier Grannies have been putting together artwork to raise money for grandmothers in Africa who are caring for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. The unique quilting is done with recycled fabric and admission is by donation. The show is being held today through Friday at the Artpoint Galleries and Studio Society at 1139 11th Street S.E.
The event runs from 1-5 p.m. today and Thursday and 1-9 p.m. Friday.
