THEATRE DISTRICT – The Broadway musical “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,” was scheduled to open March 15, but is now expected to be delayed for an unprecedented sixth time. U2’s Bono and the Edge penned the music for “Spider-Man,” but this latest delay is because producers were forced to hire a consultant to improve the performances and sound quality of the songs. “Spider-Man,” at $65 million, is Broadway’s most expensive musical. Crew members say they have no idea when the troubled musical, plagued by bad reviews, will officially open — although the show has been open for preview performances since Nov. 28.
