More than 30 comics slated for Halifax festival

The lineup for the 14th annual Halifax Comedy Festival was announced yesterday and it includes headliners like Michael Winslow from the Police Academy movies, Eddie Brill from The Late Show With David Letterman and Last Comic Standing winner Dat Phan.

Other notables from the 30-plus comedians taking to the stage next month include former Queer As Folk star Hal Sparks, Just For Laughs veteran Andrew Grose, Sean Cullen from CBC Radio’s Simply Sean, Steve Patterson from CBC Radio’s The Debaters and Mark Critch from CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

This year’s festival will run from April 20 to 25 at various venues throughout the city.

Tickets for the opening-night gala at the Casino Nova Scotia Schooner Show Room on April 21 are going for $29.
