It’s hard to decide what to order at Turkish Delight, as everything on the menu is tempting. There are appetizers such as Homemade Lentil Soup, Borek (phyllo pastry with spinach, onion and lemon), as well as eggplant and rolled grape leaves. Main courses include several chicken, lamb, beef, seafood and vegetarian dishes.

We decide to share the day’s special, which is a beautifully-presented lamb dish – a generous pile of lamb, marinated with garlic and herbs, served on pita. The accompanying rice is cooked with tiny, browned vermicelli noodles. The salad includes lettuce, tomatoes, red cabbage and has a perky oil and vinegar dressing. There are two sauces – one based on yogurt and the other on red pepper. It’s a delicious meal and there’s enough for two. We also share a tasty dessert – freshly made, rich and moist coconut cake.

The décor is lovely and the space has recently been expanded — more Delight is a very good thing indeed.
