Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. (TSX:QUX). Miner. Down 50 cents, or 3.31 per cent, at $14.60 on 19,524,628 shares.
IC Potash Corp. (TSX:ICP). Potash exploration. Up seven cents, or 7.14 per cent, at $1.05 on 12,164,028 shares.
Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Up 13 cents, or 2.80 per cent, at $4.77 on 10,828,650 shares.
Gennum Corp. (TSX:GND). Semiconductor manufacturer. Up $7.30, or 118.70 per cent, at $13.45 on 9,680,630 shares. California-based technology firm Semtech announced a friendly, $500-million takeover bid Monday that would pay Gennum stockholders $13.55 per share.
Crocodile Gold Corp. (TSX:CRK). Miner. Unchanged at 59 cents on 9,295,894 shares.
Research In Motion Ltd. (TSX:RIM). Technology. Down 50 cents, or 3.19 per cent, at $15.17 on 8,048,861 shares. Research in Motion shares fell for a second day amid questions about whether the BlackBerry maker’s new chief executive and new chairwoman will be able to return the troubled technology company to its former glory.
TSX Venture Exchange (1,576.29, down 12.63 points):
CardioComm Solutions Inc. (TSXV:EKG). Health-care. Up 29 cents, or 200 per cent, at 43.5 cents on 23,633,360 shares. The company said it has cleared an ISO audit. The audit was for the manufacture and distribution of health management software systems and distribution of health monitoring devices.
Calibre Mining Corp. (TSXV:CXB). Miner. Down 0.5 cents, or 1.01 per cent, at 49 cents on 11,240,860 shares.
Companies reporting major news:
Canadian National Railway (TSX:CNR). Railway. Down $3.74, or 4.70 per cent, at $75.86 on 1,401,659 shares. The company’s operating ratio — reflecting how much of CN’s revenue is required to pay for its operating activities — was 64.7 per cent, up 1.3 points from the fourth quarter of 2010 although still extremely low by industry standards. The lower the ratio the better.
