A 27-year-old woman was critically injured when she fell out of the third-story window of a Fenway apartment building early this morning.
The unidentified woman was taken to Brigham & Women’s Hospital in critical but stable condition after the 1:40 a.m. fall.
While witnesses told police they saw the woman fall from the apartment window at 103 Gainsborough St., police are trying to determine how she ended up there.
Officers interviewed the two apartment residents who said they didn’t know the woman and weren’t sure how she got inside, said Officer Eddy Chrispin, a police spokesman.
Passersby said they saw the woman with her legs out of the window and eventually she was hanging on to the sill with her hands. She asked people on the street to call for help before she fell in to the bushes below, police said.
Police are investigating.
