The spring edition of Boston Calling is weeks away from setting up on City Hall Plaza, but the biannual music festival is already announcing the lineup for its fall installment.

Lorde, Nas, The Roots, Childish Gambino, and The 1975 are among the 22 acts that make up the fall festival’s lineup, which Boston Calling will announce today. Also joining the lineup is The National, which was one of the bands to play the first Boston Calling in May 2013.

All four of Boston Calling’s lineups have been co-curated by The National’s Aaron Dessner.

“Collaborating on the programming of Boston Calling has been such a great experience for me and I feel we are getting better and better with each edition,” Dessner said in a statement. “We were able to book several of my favorite artists in the world for September’s lineup …This lineup is undoubtedly our most exciting one yet and I’m looking forward to returning with The National to play a full headline set with full production for our fans in Boston.”

Nas, who is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album Illmatic, will perform with The Roots. Other acts performing during the upcoming fall show include: The Replacements, Neutral Milk Hotel, Spoon, Girl Talk, Twenty One Pilots and The Hold Steady.

Boston Calling debuted last May as a two-day festival and followed up with another show last fall. The festival quickly earned popularity and attracts tens of thousands of music fans to City Hall Plaza.

The upcoming fall show will take place over three days from Sept. 5-7. Early bird tickets go on sale Thursday.

Tickets are still available for the upcoming show in May, which features Jack Johnson, Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse and Bastille.
