The newest members to join the ranks of Greater Boston’s finest graduated during a ceremony Tuesday.
Seventy men and women graduated from the Boston police academy and were recognized during a ceremony at the IBEW hall in Dorchester.
Fifty-five of the graduates will join the Boston Police Department, the others will join fifteen other departments throughout Greater Boston including Stoughton, Randolph and Canton.
The ceremony included badge pinning, special awards and remarks by several guests, including Mayor Thomas Menino and Police Commissioner Edward Davis.
