New England plenty comfortable in snow

If the Patriots had their way, it would snow every weekend from September until February.

That’s because, since Bill Belichick took the reins as head coach, the team has yet to lose under snowy skies. They’re 11-0 in the white stuff.

Last week’s 36-7 whitewashing of the Chicago Bears was Exhibit K. Tom Brady threw for a season-high 369 yards and two touchdowns, and the Pats clinched the playoffs for the eighth time in 11 seasons under Belichick.

“We’ll get the snow-making machines out there; start firing it up,” Belichick joked upon hearing about the 11-0 record. “Look, our team has to be ready to play in whatever the elements are every week. They practice in them. They play in them.”

There’s a chance of snow for Sunday night’s game against the Packers. As history has shown, the Pats will be ready.

Some even welcome it.

“It’s fun playing out in the snow,” cornerback Kyle Arrington said. “It feels like you’re playing backyard football again when you’re growing up and everything. That’s the kind of mentality we have with it. Bill [Belichick] gets us right mentally as well.”
