There’s a fair to midland chance that Adrian Peterson is a New York Giant next year. Well, at least the oddsmakers thinks so.

Peterson, the soon to be former Minnesota Viking running back, is set to become a free agent on Mar. 9. He’s already been linked to the Giants and given the team’s recent release of Rashad Jennings, the move to land the exciting running back makes a certain level of sense given the Giants inability to effectively run the ball last year. Bovada LV has them among the leaders to land the potential free agent.

The Giants are 5:1 to sign Peterson according to Bovada, only behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 3:1. The Vikings are also 5:1 to re-sign the All-Pro, joining the Kansas City Chiefs and the Giants with the same odds.

Injuries limited Peterson to three games last year, making him a bit of a risk as a potential signing but he did play in 16 games in 2015 when he rushed for 1,485 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Giants were fourth from the bottom in the league last year with 88.2 rushing yards per game. They were dead last in the NFC East in rung the ball.
