He’s improved doughnuts and conquered ice cream — now, Dominique Ansel is treading on grandma’s territory.

On Oct. 1, the Cronut king is throwing a Pie Night at his newly opened Dominique Ansel Kitchen. Dessert enthusiasts will have a chance to meet the chef and drink a glass of Champagne while tasting across unlimited bites of savory and sweet pies made especially for the event, along with a whole bar of a la mode toppings.

The one-hour tastings will take place in three time slots (7-8 p.m., 8-9 p.m., or 9-10 p.m.). Tickets are $35 per person and go on sale today at noon.
