Opening: Elevated hyperseasonal fare at Almanac

The former Mas (la grillade) space is now Almanac, chef Galen Zamarra’s new flagship restaurant serving hyperseasonal tasting menus of three, five and eight courses, as well as a la carte options. The food is a preview of the cookbook Zamarra has not yet found the time to complete – don’t miss the oysters, which are roasted before being returned to the half-shell. The dining room feels like being inside an upscale farmhouse, with a poured concrete bar, walls paneled in reclaimed wood and rotating art. 28 Seventh Ave., Greenwich Village
