“So far, 46 women have come forward to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault, in some cases, according to a recently unsealed deposition, with the aid of Qualuudes—a powerful sedative that can render a person functionally immobile,” The Magazine wrote in a Facebook post. “But these allegations are by no means new, with some stretching back decades—to a time when the culture of rape in America left victims little recourse but to suffer silently, and in shame.”
Allegations of sexual assault have plagued Cosby, at least quietly, for decades. It has only been in the last year or so that more and more women have come forward to accuse the comedian.
As a result of these accusations Cosby has been stripped of titles and honors from various organizations and establishments.
Cosby denies every allegation and and has never been charged.
